Oi! is an Android application that allows users to exchange messages without relying on the existing Internet access or wireless infrastructures, based on their level of social interaction.
To run, Oi! needs NDN-Opp or the NDN Forwarding Daemon (NFD) app.
User devices have evolved in terms of processing, storage and built-in wireless communications technologies. Such evolution has allowed users to explore different ways for establishing communication among themselves.
Oi! has been developed by the research unit COPELABS - Cognitive and People-centric Computing, and is available as open-source software. Contact us for further details!
